[Edit] Before the above I was watching some Anison Plus backnumbers (partly because this week was ToriKou@TOV)... ティッシュ姫のベース超かっこいい！ I'm rather sure Tissue-hime is 顔出しNG because it(?)'s a guy ← not that I think it's a problem (look at Tissue-hime's legs. JEALOUS). Maa but really, Tissue-hime's playing is really really got 色気 one!!! Will make you think OMG SEXY even though (s)he is in full Nagato (SuzuHaru) cosplay + mask. I'm saying this because I'm currently listening to 王族BAND's mini (?) album. かっこいい！！ Yappari I like this kind of band sound (that is rather mainstream and not v-kei) a lot a lot. The band name is 王族BAND because the members are 海賊王, 王子 and ティッシュ姫. Lolx. Maa I'm just rather amused that they chose to cover Butter-Fly (Digimon OP) and Airman ga Taosenai. I just don't really like their vocalist (I thought it was 彩音 for a moment looking at the PV but I'm not that sure) and the first thing I thought as I listened to Airman ga Taosenai was... why is the key so low! The vocalist is female... and it's at least around 2 notes lower that the Team Nekocan's version. Their original songs are rather nice though (esp Night Rider... the vocal-less song lolx)! Ouzoku BAND - Royal Straight Flush desu yo, the album.

Oh and it felt rather shuang singing k with live (er?) band lolx. Poor Hirohashi Ryou though. (Please see the 31 Aug show :D) I don't really know YUI's again despite hearing it countless times in Animate but the 2 K-ON! songs were fun~

As I tried to pack up my stuff the sky started to brighten. Now it's 5.20am. It's totally past the time to sleep when I am going to the post office in the morning. So here I am not sleeping.

So yumegal was showing me this youtube link of hit songs in the 90s, while we were speculating how many people our age in Singapore actually knows who is Inoue Yousui (井上陽水). (And since I was on the topic of Summer Wars the last post, Yamashita Tatsurou (山下達郎) too lolx.) I was curious so I went to see the 80s one also. And... I'm rather shocked at how many songs I know. And it led me wondering where and when I had been living my life. Lolx. Maa most of them I know from either covers or rhythm games. Haha.

The interesting thing is, when I went on to the 70s one (which sasuga ni I don't really know anything about), there was this song 神田川 by かぐや姫 that Hatano and Narita Sayaka were talking about in the talk after the kouroku finished.

Btw, yumegal, that programme = Fuji TV deshita. Actually can tell from some of the newer songs, that the set is from Hey!x3 (cos got live audience) and some others more grand ones are from FNS 歌謡祭. Lolx. Oh and if you got see the Hiromi Go interview (70s male idols that one) got directly talk about Fuji TV's music show blah blah.

Oricon charts today. Super Noisy Nova is a nice song (I think I am falling in love with Toyosaki Aki. Toyosaki Aki. TOYOSAKI AKI KAWAIIII)! *dies* Ok that's so not the point. I was kinda hoping Arthur would break Kiku's record of 9th on daily Oricon but well... Lolx (I was reading Chosyu Five and apparently during that period of time England was called エゲレス. Probably Dutch pronounciation? Cos at that time the only foreign language in JP was Dutch. I will never look at contemporary JP history in the same way again. I recognized Inoue Kaoru and Ito Hirobumi's names from JS1101e readings! Praise me. OK OFF TOPIC). This week's release got quite a lot of anime/seiyuu stuff I think... Super Driver not counted cos it was released last week (3rd on weekly chart!). Randomly Doko is first on today's charts.

Back to the topic of Chosyu Five (lolx), which I've only read half of, I THINK I NEED TO HEAR THE DRAMA CD. THE DIALECT, PEOPLE, THE DIALECTTTTT. 方言萌えでございます。I didn't know the cast before reading, and 俊輔がかわいい俊輔がかわいい俊輔がかわいい (弥吉もかわいいし山尾がかっこいいし謹助が不思議すぎるし聞多がいい男！) and I was rather high looking at the cast. Lolx. Ne. Lesson learnt = history is easier learnt with lots of (unnecessary) imagination (think Hetalia, lolx). I think the original movie will be interesting too...

Cos I read something. Hmm. By someone who may or may not be reading this blog.

I believe that music is universal. Before it comes to the point when you understand the lyrics or not, I believe that what captures one's attention would be the melody. That said, I think what you listen to also depends on what kind of media you are exposed to. I can safely say I probably know less recent english songs that a 2 year old kid living in SG, but even so I did listen to english songs when I was in primary school. Simply because I'm in the kind of environment. But still, I think, taking away the variable of whether you are on a lookout for songs in a certain language, when you hear a song, you will first register how it sounds like before what language it is in, what is its lyrics. Like how you will try humming the song when you want to ask someone if he/she knows the name of it afterwards.

To put it in an abstract way, I think music itself moves people and not the lyrics.

And then whether if you listen to songs of a certain language more, I think it's due to more reasons that just language bias. Sure, I hate english, but it doesn't mean I close my ears to everything english. Or rather, I would see it as not that you push away something you don't like, it's that you will tend to bury your head into something you do and not have time for other things. I think it's just how you see the issue. And I think sometimes like my case, it also has to do with genre of the songs. Somehow I just can't imagine like someone singing an english song that sounds JE, for example, or like denpa-ish songs or WONDER MOMO-i or to the extreme like Melon no Theme. There just happen to be cases like this when you cannot find something parallel in another language. Chinese yes probably for JE-bubblegum pop but then the next thing boils down to the core of MY problem. I have a voice fetish and VOICE = more important than anything. Within which includes pronounciation and such. I cannot like a song totally if I don't like the voice of that person, however well the person sings. If I like the voice sometimes I can fall in love with the song however badly it's sung. To the point that I can remember it goes out of tune in which parts.

Maa. I am that kind of shallow people ne.

On other notes... Mr Romanticist no Koi. Terashiiii. I meant to focus on the story. But. Terashiiiiii. I was rather "why are you all still around" to the main charas whenever Terashi appeared. Lolx. You need to start appearing in some things that I watch/listen to. Like seriously. Although I'm listening to Pokekuri Housoukyoku every week. Not say it's to the extent that I can say I'm a fan but てらしー面白いんだよね。そのオタク加減がさ。 I should start picking up Ra-G-o Fantasy. Ne.

Stupid question that might not be that stupid after all:

To declare an Honours track, students must have completed 110 MCs, including 60 MCs in the Major, with a CAP of 3.5 and above.

- How do you complete 110MCs?? That is 27.5 modules! Does it mean we can only declare AFTER sem 6? Or do they want us to overload for 3 sems?

And well. The requirements for JS4000 modules = Students in 2001 cohort and after must have completed 80 MCs, of which at least 28 MCs should fulfil the JS shared major requirement.

- 28!! That's 7 modules. I think I'm definitely taking some in Sem 6. Thanks to this I think I confirm not writing HT le.

I should negotiate with CLS very, very soon. If I can manage it = 20MCs this sem (= I need 36MCs/9mods only) then sem 6 I might try to do 2 4000 mods. Sem 5 normal load, sem 6 will be 4 mod. 4 mod with 2 4000 and 1 CH 3000 is bad enough lolx. If I don't get LAJ6 in the end I think I might try to do 6 mods in Sem 5 again. 自殺行為。

Somehow I really wanted to listen to Sakamoto Maaya's Mameshiba the whole day. (Which I saw the perf from WE ARE KAZEYOMI 2009 DVD in Ikebukuro Gamers that day. You can actually see it here on her official website. In its release week it was only lower than Laruku's Live in Paris DVD! Opening week sales = 14000. Apparently it's the best for seiyuus? You'd thought Mizuki Nana will sell more than that.) So now I'm listening to her. Mameshiba is a nice song~ I remember hearing it on TV mobile when Chikyuu Shoujo Arjuna was on... probably when I was in sec school. Still don't know what's the show about though. Then Kazemachi Jet came on and I randomly rmbed that I got translate it before so I went back looking for it and realized... there is mistake in translation =.= And then I haven't translated anything since Triangular last year May. Lolx. And this is the n-th time that I thought Ma-ya's version of Ao no Ether pwns Mamegu's version BY FAR.

The other thing is that I'm now watching Saiga Mitsuki feat. JUST's ONE DVD and my conclusion is that... I absolutely love Nishioka Kazuya-san's SOUND but I hate his melody lines. If that made sense. As in all the arrangements is totally my stuff but somehow I just don't like the melody. The singing parts. That's why I couldn't make myself love any Saiga Mitsuki feat. JUST songs and I can't make myself love any Black Velvet songs. And thanks to that I feel bad to Saiga-san and Morimori (not that it makes any different whether I feel bad or not though). I have the same problem with Shou-chan's solo songs (but I like the songs he write for An's). Shou-chan is like very very hard rock with lots of bass (which I do rather like) but the melody...

AND SAIGA MITSUKI IS DEFINITELY COOLER THAN ANY MALE SINGERS OUT THERE (ok I'll bite back my own words but you get my point). REAL LIFE MIZUKI (her chara in AiOre)!!! The other day I was listening Real Rode Radio with her as guest and then she was saying she feels it's harder to speak to girls compared to guys, lolx. Randomly I found that ultra adorable. Ok no link. Just wanted to say that I WILL MARRY HER GIVEN THE CHANCE. LIKE, TOTALLY. LOLX.

Because I didn't have the setlist at first then I was listening. Why don't I even need to guess to know that in Ryouko-chan's one there will CONFIRM be Rurounin Kenshin songs? And then after listening to Voice Charabi last week I know that MinaJun likes Hotohori = confirm will have Fushigi Yuugi songs... I wonder why I know a lot more songs in the female sides... Oh btw I got all 3 female Hyakka Seiran(s?)... I'm just a bit amused that in Satou Rina's one there is Kimi=Hana. Just that TINY BIT amused.

Thanks to Ma talking about one of her friends on exchange I think I want to say this. Lolita is NOT cosplay. Unless the character you are cosplaying wears lolita. And it is not very nice to say that (ok I know this is not a direct quote) "japanese singers don't have nice voices, Korean singers are better." According to Ma she is a Jin+Kame+Pi fan. But she doesn't listen to their songs. Er, so what is left to like about them? And I'm rather pissed off at how she generalized "japanese singers". I'm sure many ppl will agree with me. The first thing that came to mind was Kalafina. Where does this put Kalafina! I won't mind if you say you like Korean music more than Japanese music, but who are you to judge the SINGERS. And it's rather sad that she thinks Jin doesn't have a nice voice. Lolx.

Me? Er. Korean music don't click with me unfortunately, but my standards of nice voices is so skewed that it doesn't make sense to talk about this. I love Ai-pon's voice but to a lot of ppl her voice is screechy. And well, she can't sing that well. (Took Ai-pon as example cos I was listening to Ama no Jaku AGAIN.) My point is that, don't push your standard of "nice voices" onto ppl! I told ma to introduce her friend to vip店長 when she finally gets around her nico account/password thing. Because I was bombarding her with vip店長 clips over nico messe yesterday.

I'm saying this everywhere but I'm really amazed by Kajiura Yuki Live #2 2008.07.31. Not that I've never heard her songs before but watching live performances is another thing! KEIKO kakkoii! Lolx. The only song that I really knew the tune to in the whole concert was A Song of Storm and Fire but it was still very captivating! For someone who don't really know all the songs. I don't know. It's an amazing thing. Lolx. And I think KAORI is awkwardly tall. Haha sorry I'm mean. But she's so cute! Anyway as I was saying, I'm drifting farther and farther away from mainstream music. J-Pop? What J-Pop.

Yes I am currently lol-ing. Whatever, I know I can be really sacarstic when I want to. I guess it helps me let off some steam from the whole GU matter. And I guess one of the reason I leave things unlocked to shoot people if they ever decide to shoot me. I might not be able to argue orally but I seriously believe that I won't lose if it's written verbal fights =) Oh but my invitation for joining JMC is sincere, despite the sarcastic tone. Or putting it in another way, I would deeply appreciate it if you do (and will be deeply troubled if you don't).

Right now there is a downright divide between J-pop and J-rock in JMC, so I guess we would like to recruit ppl from both sides, if not I think Gravity, Inifiniti (ie the J-rock festival) will disappear forever... But still as my small wish I want to find friends who are into seiyuu music xD And the Vocaloid series! And as usual I feel off-tangent...

Oh btw... I was watching the new Kuroshitsuji (really, what was that stupid curry pan ochi...) ending... The Kalafina song... So they (she?) are produced by Kajiura Yuki? I was listening and thinking how come I get a mild SH feel in some of the phrases... Haha. Personally I think a person who listens to anime music and dunno who are the two Y.Ks in anime music (Kajiura Yuki and Kanno Yoko) are like ppl who listen to J-Pop but don't know who are Ayu and Hikki.

And because it's the start of hols for me, I picked up To Aru Majutsu no Index again (from eps 3 all the way up to 16 ie this week's eps)... WHY IS IT A CLIFFHANGER D: Oh but then poor Index who totally becomes 路人甲 after the first arc on her... Isn't she the main character? I mean, look at the title of the story! Is Accelerator/Mikoto possible as a pairing? (Ok no wait, is Accelerator/Misaka Imouto more interesting...?) Lolx. I haven't liked a female character so much since... a long time ago! Mikoto is in many ways really 理想 to me haha. But then at the start of the series I thought both Iguchi Yuka and Abe Atsushi were really bad and now it's only Abe Atsushi... Ganbare, main character =.= It's sad that Nobu sounded so much better... But then again Nobu sounded rather er... in Koukaku no Regios too though (I swear he's better in Asu no Yoichi)...

1. Most of the songs on May'n's mini album is A WASTE OF HER VOICE. Basically everything other than LION -May'n version-. I want my Kanno Yoko+May'n combi back...

NYAN TRA. MACROSS FRONTIER OST2! FUFUFU. Yousei is really a nice song. Yousei is a really nice song. (I didn't accidentally repeat this.) The service medley is really nice too. I'm still wondering why Ao no Ether is called that. Aimo -O.C- is still weird. Hearing Anata no Oto twice (or was it thrice) in a row in Macross F△※○ is rather putting me off it, dokun dokun dokun. Shinkuu no Diamond Crevasse is like 1.5x better than the original. It gives me goosebumps and reminds me of that eps. I like Maaya's Triangler better than the fight on stage version by Sheryl+Ranka. Ai Oboeteimasu ka ~bless the little queen~ is a weird title, but I do like it better than the normal Ranka version (ok I didn't like the original Minmei version too). Ok I'm not musically inclined enough to comment on the real BGMs though. Think this CD is out next week, hope it does really well~

I guess one of the good things about being awake at this *points* stupid time of the morning(?) is that I can see the HMV email just when it reached my mailbox. GRANRODEO is releasing a single on Dec 10th (official site doesn't have the news yet, as usual)! When their second album (Instinct) isn't even out yet (well it'll be out soooon)! And I still haven't seen their iTunes single anywhere except in baidu as a AMV (well it'll be in Instinct but still). Btw their album CM song (Black Out) is nice. ARGH I WANT THEIR ALBUMS. I think I will really buy their albums if I ever see them when I go back to HK. Regardless of price. 2nd Live Tour in December to January too~ I WANT TO SEEEEE. Damn it, since they had their tour in January that means OBVIOUSLY I won't get to see them during my SEP! ARGHHHHH. I HATE YOU. This is the one live that I really want to go. And then also Shokotan, Nao-chan, Chihhi-, Jump Festa, NeoRoma, Comiket, etc...

Lolx) then I'm amused that I recognised all the JAM Project members, Momoi Haruko, Chihhi-, May'n, Takarano Arika (AliPro vocalist) and nearly all the seiyuu (Hirano Aya, Mizuki Nana, Kuribayashi Minami and Kiiyan, ie except Chihara Minori). Some of them by voice only I think. The rest... I might have listened to their songs before but not really familiar. I want to see this year's Animelo setlist! (Lolx hurry up and hold the concert xD) Every year's setlist is interesting actually. May'n was advertising this single in her blog, haha. Apparently she likes Mizuki Nana and Suara. Good for her, she had a duet line with Mizuki Nana, lolx. Oh but. Momoi Haruko's really stands out from the others. Hmm. I don't know for good or bad.

というわけでJMCバンドで励んでいる俺がいます。結局（色使いが下手な俺はみんなの意見を聞いて）黒と赤基調で何とかしています。PBのメンテが終わる次第画像をアップしますので…乞うご期待？（こういう広報してるのに難しい日本語を使ってる俺もどうかしてる。グループ内これを分かってくれる人ってそんなにないっていうのに。）ついでに。これ、独り言ですけど。セル風のヤツ、ちょっとチャレンジしたいかも。やったことない！まあ、ああいうキレイさっぱりの画風は俺にとって一生無理かもしれんけど、憧れるなあ。

タイナカサチの新曲、「もう　キスされちゃった」は。すごい。もう。タイナカさんの声大好き。夏っぽくていいね。

不知道有多少人認識唱這首《傻女》的歌手，陳慧嫻。是我很喜歡的一位女歌手。雖然說在我小學的時候（之前？）她已經不再唱歌，去外國留學了（前幾年回香港了），我還是常常聼她的歌曲。那是還在香港時的事啦。

會提起這首歌是因爲在某一個頒獎禮上，翻唱這首歌的衛詩因此拿了“最佳改編歌曲”一獎。我實在很想說，現在的頒獎典禮是頒到沒有獎可以頒了嗎！？不過看著中港台三地的新人表演，讓我更確信一件事，就是香港的歌手是要用一把完全不同的尺來衡量的。“不走音”的歌手應該就已經可以算是“大師級”了吧。真希望香港也有像以前快樂星期天的“藝能歌喉戰”的節目。“你有接受過專業訓練嗎？”哈哈。說真的，如果這種貨色都可以算歌手，你隨便在KTV抓幾個人出來都唱得比他們好！正因爲此泳兒才有可能以在新加坡都三甲不入的身份在香港廣獲好評吧。

Without accidents I'll be listening to Himeyakana Junjou and Azayakana Renjou these 2 nights. I will go to bed... earlier in order to do this. 3.40am this morning I was struggling whether to listen to Shinayakana Netsujou... It's 2CD (more than 2 hours) and Atis (rather serious) and Sakiya Haruhi (who holds the record for her 2CD dramas putting me to sleep THREE times). I ended up sleeping around 6.30am. ( But sleep is often overrated. )

Totally unrelated, I'm looking towards Punch↑ next month... Because well, I really liked P.B.B. when I first heard it! Although I'm really *sigh* at the fact that obviously Shinobu (who will still appear) will never be voiced by Ueda-san again (it's now Yusa-san and I'm a bit miffed by the choice), I think it'll be rather interesting. At least I like Koyasu's chara (for once)! Hahaha. His comedic voice is what I like best about him. Lolx.

Actually if you look at daily rankings right, there are like 1 or 2 days that it was actually higher than KT's Queen of Pirates. Actually KT was only top for the first 2-3 days (well by a really large margin for the first day) and the rest of the week was MINMI. Anyway! Everyone should give Nyan Furo, ie Macross Frontier's 1st OST a try!
